Described as the “spirit song” of the record by lead-singer Taylor Meier, “Lavender Girl” is a gorgeous ballad released right in time for Spring’s turn into Summer.

Taylor Meier, the band’s lead singer, describes the song as “one of those songs that just kind of tumbled out in one breath. Raspberry velvet hit my notebook and the song wrote itself. The band helped to decorate it so well, and I love how the ending fades like riding a bike over a hill. We hope you somersault to it.”

Caamp has released a new EP, featuring live versions of five tracks from their recent debut album By and By. The Live from Newport Music Hall EP was recorded during an intimate tour in their home state of Ohio, the three days leading into New Year’s Eve of last year. The five songs they selected for the EP capture the infectious energy of their live show. Only a limited number of fans were in attendance at those small shows, so we are so excited they are now sharing that experience with the world.

Today, we're excited to announce the newest addition to Mom + Pop Family, Caamp. Caamp formed in Columbus, Ohio when Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall met and bonded over a shared love of music and of their home state, specifically the inspiration they culled from the Midwest lives they grew up in. The two began writing and performing and quickly grew a rabid fan base. A self-titled 2016 debut album and single "Vagabond" rapidly began to take flight across streaming platforms and took the band to new heights. By and By, their upcoming sophomore album, marked the first time the duo recorded with outside help. Block and Jenkins helped expand their sonic horizons and through the recording process, Caamp also brought on a third and permanent member, Matt Vinson.
