LA-based artist and producer SEB has just shared a new project we were so beautiful alongside a new video for the EP standout “home2u”. Fresh off his first tour in the US, supporting JAWNY and his first international dates in London, Paris, Copenhagen and Brighton, the new EP is a manifestation of SEB’s expanding skill as a producer and songwriter as he continues to experiment with both his sound and his sources of inspiration.

SEB has shared his first two singles of 2023, “sugarhoneyiceicetea” and "moving on (featuring Khary),” in anticipation of a new forthcoming project. Akin to last Fall’s “loving u is harder,” the new songs demonstrate the solo artist’s deepening skill set as a producer and musician (particularly in an unpredictable swerve into jazz during the bridge of “sugarhoneyiceicetea,” on which he played all the instruments).

SEB has just shared his latest single and first formal follow up to August’s IT’S OKAY, WE’RE DREAMING II: don’t worry, i’ll be fine. “loving u is harder” taps deep into the R&B undercurrents of SEB’s work, laying melancholy staccato vocal lines across a soulful guitar loop. "'loving u is harder' is about feeling blindsided by who someone actually is after falling in love with them,” states SEB. “The song also touches on the complicated dynamic of feeling dependent on someone despite knowing they aren't good for you."

Earlier last week SEB shared another video for standout track “3am in nyc,” stating that "'3am in nyc' serves as a snapshot of my time in NYC. Specifically those late nights, going out drinking and being on the train with my friends. At that time in my life, there was never anywhere I had to be, so every night was always an adventure: whether it was roaming the city, going out to bars or meeting new people in the most random places."

The project spans seven tracks, including the previously released singles “SAVE ME” and “fuck it, i’m the man” as well as the new single “get yo bread,” shared today in conjunction with the announcement. "I wrote this song when I was probably at my lowest financially,” states SEB of the new single. “We were still in the middle of the pandemic and I was arguing everyday with unemployment. During that time, money was the focal point of everything, and more importantly what was I willing to do for it. The song starts with me screaming ‘get yo bread’ and by the end I'm right back where i started."

SEB Releases New Single + Video "fuck it, i'm the man"
LA-based artist SEB has just shared “fuck it, i’m the man” on which the nascent pop artist evokes a home-fi spin on the 80’s Quincy Jones sound.
