We are beyond excited to share that Tycho’s album Weather has been nominated for Best Dance/Electronic album at the 2020 GRAMMY awards. The album features popular singles “Japan” and “Pink & Blue” and more for a total of eight extraordinary tracks. This is the second GRAMMY nomination for Tycho, whose previous album Epoch was nominated in the same category in 2016. With Weather, Tycho’s fifth studio album, Scott embarked on a journey to fulfill long-held vision of his: incorporating the human voice into his music. The endeavor signaled a bold shift in creative direction with the addition of musical collaboration and vocals by Saint Sinner to his previously instrumental-only sound. Huge congratulations to Scott and everyone involved in the Tycho project. It’s an honor to witness and support your creative journey which proves time and time again that it knows no bounds. We have been eagerly waiting to announce this, so today, we are excited to announce that Tycho is the next artist to join the Mom + Pop Roster! Tycho - aka Scott Hansen - is a San Francisco based artist known for much more than just music. Scott is a composer, songwriter, and producer but is also known as ISO50 for his incredible work in both the photography and design worlds. Hansen began releasing music over 10-years ago with The Science of Patterns EP, following up with his first full-length project, Past Is Prologue in 2006. Here is where Tycho found its stride and went onto release the critically acclaimed albums, Dive, Awake, and his Grammy Nominated 2016 album Epoch. With the announce of Tycho, we are excited to give you the first single off Mom + Pop/Ninja Tune - "Easy." The track is about coming to terms with the past and defining a clear vision moving forward.
