Welcome Tycho to the Mom + Pop Music Family!

We have been eagerly waiting to announce this, so today, we are excited to share that Tycho is the next artist to join the Mom + Pop Roster!

Tycho - aka Scott Hansen - is a San Francisco based artist known for much more than just music. Scott is a composer, songwriter, and producer but is also known as ISO50 for his incredible work in both the photography and design worlds. Hansen began releasing music over 10-years ago with The Science of Patterns EP, following up with his first full-length project, Past Is Prologue in 2006. Here is where Tycho found its stride and went onto release the critically acclaimed albums, Dive, Awake, and his Grammy Nominated 2016 album Epoch. 

Today, as Tycho makes the announcement of his new single "Easy," Scott explains the reason for the new label switch. Scott says, "DIVE, AWAKE, and EPOCH were all released by Ghostly International, the label I have been with since 2006. The past 13 years have seen Tycho evolve from the part-time solo project of a graphic designer into a band that achieved things far beyond any of our wildest expectations. The people at Ghostly have been there every step of the way to support my vision and for that I am forever grateful. I couldn't be more excited to share that Tycho has signed with Mom + Pop and Ninja Tune as label partners for the next album release. While it is bittersweet to see such a meaningful chapter in this story end, it is just the beginning of another."

With the announce of Tycho, we are excited to give you the first single off Mom + Pop/Ninja Tune - "Easy." The track is about coming to terms with the past and defining a clear vision moving forward.
