Today marks the release Tycho’s fifth studio album Weather and his first official album release on Mom + Pop Music & Ninja Tune. For years, we have admired Tycho’s vision and ingenuity throughout the course of the first four records and are honored to be a part of bringing his fifth album to life. The release of Weather marks a bold step forward for Tycho with the introduction of vocal led tracks by Hannah Cottrell, aka Saint Sinner. Longtime collaborators Zac Brown (bass/guitar) and Rory O’Connor (drums) and touring member Billy Kim (keyboards/guitar/bass) will join Hansen on the Weather World Tour. The new single and music video again show Tycho’s journey to incorporate the human voice into his sound with Saint Sinner being the featured vocalist. Scott, aka Tycho, explains the new track being inspired by a recent trip he took with his wife to Hakone, Japan to visit some of his wife’s Japanese relatives.
