Today, Caamp shares their long awaited new LP, By and By, with the world. This new album is their story. About how they’ve gotten to this place in time, and the things they think they’ve figured out. It’s about their childhoods, their dogs, their first cars. It’s about having too many with the best people you know. It’s about heartache and break and love in the golden hour. The record pushes boundaries sonically and stylistically, but feels like a homecoming. A few of the songs were written when the boys were 17 years old - now 25, and the record is threaded with all the life they’ve known thus far.
The album release comes just days after the band made their national public radio debut on World Cafe Live performing 3 tracks from the new album including “Penny, Heads Up,” “No Sleep,” and “Wolf Song,” plus an older track, “Going to the Country.” Check out the full interview and live videos from the session HERE. This week the band also went back to their roots of Ohio where they played intimate shows across the state at venues where the band first got their start. Only a limited amount of fans were in attendance as the band played the album front to back. To wrap up the week, the boys made a surprise at the Newport Music Folk Festival where they played a secret pop-up set in the middle of the festival for fans to listen to the new record and celebrate the release with the boys.
