Raffaella on the meaning of “Bardot”: “Boys cared more about how I made them feel than about how I was feeling - but that wasn't entirely their fault, I didn't wanna give them my whole self. "Bardot" was a safe way for me to feel vulnerable and angry, a facade that could highlight as well as shelter me from the problem. We're all susceptible to sharing/receiving false representations, especially with the role social media plays on our collective psyche. I wanted to explore the safety/danger of "reaching" unrealistic ideals within a fake reality and the repercussions that follow.”
