Earlier this summer, Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile announced a collaborative project including a tour and album. Now, the project has been given a name, first song, music video and more!

The first track off the record "Over Everything" premiered this morning on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music as the day's World Record. Both Courtney and Kurt dialed in for an interview in which the two expanded on the origin of the project and their favorite parts of making music with one another.

The two also gave some insight on the process to Rolling Stone in which Courtney states,

"It's a scary process, taking a half-written song to someone," Barnett says. "I didn't want him to be like, 'God, this sucks. What have I gotten myself into?'"

To go along with the first track, Courtney and Kurt released a brilliant music video that plays off the true-to-life nature of their long-distance friendship and artistic partnership. Watch the Danny Cohen directed video below.

As for the rest of the project, the album is called 'Lotta Sea Lice' and will be out October 13th on Mom + Pop/Matador in North America, Marathon Artists in Europe and Milk! in Australia/New Zealand). Pre-Order your copy get ready to catch the duo and their star-studded touring band on the road this fall.
