Courtney Barnett stopped by NPR's Tiny Desk for a three song performance this week, culminating in a rendition of brand new track "Depreston" -- it's a song about house hunting in an Australian suburb, and how depressing that is. "The song is thoughtful, acerbic and funny, just like the woman who sings it" - Bob Boilen

You said we should look out further I guess it wouldn't hurt us We don't have to be around all these coffee shops Now we've got that percolator Never made a latte greater Im saving 23 dollars a week

We drove to a house in Preston We see police arresting A man with his hand in a bag How's that for first impressions? This place seems depressing It's a Californian bungalow in a cul-de-sac
