Evann on the creativity behind “TECTONIC PLATES”: “I wrote Tectonic Plates on a flight back from Los Angeles about Los Angeles. I absolutely fell in love with that city from the first time I flew in. The song could be about a polyamorous or an open relationship, if you wanna look at it that way or call it something like that I don’t know. It’s about seeing somebody as too good to keep to yourself, if freedom is too valuable and a monogamous relationship feels too selfish. So many people could benefit from the love you feel from that experience.”
Character Development is not about Evann "finding themselves," but rather about them learning to accept the growth and evolution that comes with growing up. Throughout the project, Evann explores how they learned to be confident and comfortable with themselves in the midst of the changing pressures and expectations that came with their rising artist profile.
