We are thrilled to announce Evann McIntosh as the newest member of the Mom + Pop family. At only 16 years old, Evann is ready to take over the world with her soulful, modern take on pop and R&B. After self-releasing her 2019 debut album MOJO and putting out the “What Dreams Are Made Of” music video, we can’t wait to see what she does next.

Raised on ‘90s hip hop and R&B, ‘70s rock, and Prince—her idol—Evann has been making music since age 9. She grew up spending hours recording songs through a USB Yeti microphone in the living room after her family had gone to bed. It was when she met producer and now-frequent collaborator Jesty Beatz through Instagram that she figured out how to take her music out of the family room and into the world. The two collaborated on a string of heat-seeking singles before MOJO, Evann’s full-length debut last year.

In Evann’s words, MOJO is a fully realized expression of youthful perspective that breaks the mold of modern pop: "The whole album has feminine pronouns being used in the place of a love interest. I wanted to write those songs for the younger audiences to hear, because I think it should be normalized in the pop music you hear today. It makes you want to dance, even when it's just me and an acoustic guitar. It slaps."

Listen to MOJO and watch the “What Dreams Are Made Of” video below. Plus, be sure to head over to Evann’s new webstore to pre-order exclusive vinyl and merch.
