Ashe’s new release, “Cold in California,” is a stripped down, introspective approach to a single. The new track is an acoustic meditation on the love-hate relationship Ashe has with herself and her home. When speaking about the track, Ashe mentions, “I love California and I also despise it. I’m from California and in many ways, this song is more about me than the place itself. I suppose that says I love and also despise myself as well. Nothing is ever one sided or perfect or right all the time. I tried to explain this feeling in Cold in California. It’s the best way I’ve personally described my love/hate relationship with myself and Los Angeles so far.” You can stream/download it below.
The release comes ahead of Ashe’s Mom’s First Headline Tour presented by Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, featuring support from Charlie Burg, this fall. Grab your tickets and check out the tour dates below.
