DMA'S have released their brand new video for the single Your Low, which premiered on The FADER yesterday. The video was drawn and animated by Canadian artist and illustrator Chad Van Gaalen, who describes the video as a "cartoon abyss of scummy color." The FADER raved about and described the video's eye-popping visual imagery: "[Your Low] features a weird red elephant, a snout-less dog, and a duck that looks a lot like Peter Pan. The melodic, midtempo track is about "how people or things don't often turn out how they should," band member Tommy O'Dell told the FADER over email. "Or, more importantly," O'Dell added, "it's about how you think." Check out the video below:
The Your Low video certainly isn't the only thing that the Australian band has going for them. DMA'S have taken the US by storm with their blisteringly awesome live show, blowing away audiences around the country through a series of headline shows and summer festivals. Rolling Stone named the band as one of the 50 Best Things We Saw At Bonnaroo. You can watch part of that performance now via Red Bull, who live broadcasted their set and called them "one of the buzziest bands right now in the U.S." You can also check out their WXPN World Cafe session, in which they tore through four of their catchiest songs.
Mom + Pop Music released DMA'S self-titled debut EP on May 19th. The mini-album can be streamed on Spotify, purchased on iTunes, or bought physically through the Mom + Pop Web Store. And don't forget, DMA'S are still on the road this summer. Check out their remaining North American tour dates below.
