DMA'S Premiere New Video For 'Laced'

Fresh off the release of their debut self-titled EP, DMA'S have revealed their new animated video for EP standout Laced. The band teamed up with French art directors and animators Department Studio, headed by Julien Rivoire, to create the trippy, aesthetically beautiful, and surrealist visuals to perfectly accompany the song. The illustrated video takes you on a psychedelic journey through pink tyrannosaurus rex's, the female form, and being on the road. Laced premiered over the weekend on Nowness, who praised the video's "hyper-psychedelia and lo-fi illustration." When talking to Nowness, guitarist Johnny Took said, “We gave Julien free rein with the video and told him to just go to town with it. So he just went for it. If you overthink concepts, sometimes it comes off pretty contrived and a bit fucked, so it’s easier to have fun with it.” The video for Laced just went wide and can now be found on DMA'S YouTube channel. DMA'S EP was released last week to universal acclaim, with Stereogum noting "These are bright, driving, lightly psychedelic, heavily melodic guitar-based pop songs that will hook you on the first listen and only pull you in further from there." Snag a copy of the EP on iTunes, stream it at Spotify, or buy a physical copy here or at a record store near you.
